BUY IT NOW PRICE IS FIRM ON THIS DUE TO THE COST OF THE CASTING – SORRY ITS THE LOWEST I CAN SELL THEM FINISHED FOR This is an auction for: The Thing Norris Creature prop display head bust piece Huge thick rotocast resin bust with high quality hair and an ultra detailed paint job Items condition: Brand New and comes complete with black wooden stand with metal pipe attachment to display it on Description: Up for sale is a Norris Creature prop display head bust based on the monster seen in John Carpenter’s The Thing film – it was sculpted by sfx artist James Bonner and finished by me (painted, haired, and built the stand for it) The likeness of this sculpt is the best i have ever seen and it looks like it just jumped out of the film. Theres hours of paint work that goes into this with subtle skin details, veins and very detailed eyes along with the extensive hair work. It looks even better in person. The head is hollow good quality resin plastic. The size is about 12 inches tall and 18 inches from the front of the face to the back of the neck so its big and has some weight to it. The back of the neck area is open and it comes with the base shown here however it could be mounted to wood to hang on a wall but you’d need a sturdy anchor in the wall to hold it up. This head has some weight to it and the wooden base is especially heavy so that is reflected in my packing and shipping cost. One final note, we will have a Norwegian creature up for sale soon for a total of 3 Thing props which includes the Spiderhead prop i already offer (see my other auctions). This bust is hand made and made to order for you the customer, my masks and busts are made to order because i do not have space to house pre-made masks/busts until they sell and also just in case the buyer wants specific customization on paint colors etc. Turn around time on this finished piece will be 4 weeks but definitely within 45 days (pay with paypal and your purchase is covered up to 45 days). These are a lot of work and take time to assemble, glue, paint, hair etc. I try to do my best on each one. So don’t delay do the buy it now so i can get going on this and get it done and out asap.
